Handmade and signed 3″ ceramic goblet by North Carolina folk artist and potter Nell Cole Graves
Nell Cole Graves (1908–1997) is the daughter of Jacon Bewit Cole, the founder of J.B. Cole Pottery near Seagrove, through which two centuries of Cole potters persisted in region. Graves’ father taught her to throw on a treadle wheel from age 9, and Graves eventually came to run the family business.

This espresso / cappuccino coffee cup features a beautiful speckled blue glaze. The piece is chalice or goblet-shaped, similar to a miniature wine glass or a large communion cup. Could also be used for juice, as a shot glass, or for a small alcoholic drink.
Excellent pre-owned condition for its age. No chips or cracks. Please see photos for details.
