Signed Lula Owens Bolick 4″ Pitcher – Winston Select Trading Co. – Owens Original Pottery

A beautiful piece of vintage North Carolina redware made by Lula Owens Bolick at Owens Original Pottery in Seagrove, NC in collaboration with Winston Select Trading Company.

Lula Belle Owens (Bolick) is the daughter of renowned NC potter Melvin Owens. Lula married Glenn Bolick in 1962 and the couple eventually established their own studio, Bolick Pottery, between Lenoir and Blowing Rock.

This small ceramic pitcher for creamer or syrup features an elegant tobacco leaf motif impressed and hand-painted on the front center.

Stamped on the underside: “Winston Select Trading Co., Owens Pottery Original”

Engraved signature in the center of the stamp: “L. O. B.”
