Signed Vivian Varner 5″ Stoneware Vase – 1994 Vintage Lick Creek Pottery – Seagrove, NC

Handmade and signed 5″ ceramic flower vase by folk artist and NC potter Vivian Varner.

Vivian Varner was born in Rocky Mount, NC, and her family moved to Wilmington when she was young. She earned degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and spent the majority of her life and career in the Chapel Hill and Denton / Seagrove areas, where she established her pottery legacy.

This exquisite vase has carved tool rings around the shoulder and delicate hand-painted multicolor flowers that truly showcase the skill of the artist.
