Handmade and signed 6.5″ decorative and utilitarian plate by North Carolina folk artist Sharon G. Williams
Al and Milly McCanless opened Dover Pottery in 1983, and became well-known for their crystalline glazes and hand-painted majolica designs.
Sharon Williams was a key artist at Dover Pottery during the 1980s and 1990s.

This dish is thick and sturdy, and features a beautiful hand-painted floral majolica design reminiscent of patterned quilting. In addition to the flowers, it has an elegant hand-painted bright blue scalloped line around the upper rim.
Excellent pre-owned condition. No chips or cracks. Underside shows signs of light use. Please see photos for details.
